Being free from any anxiety disorder needs much braveness and courage. Here are some ways to keep you on track.

CHOOSE AND WANT TO BE NOT ISOLATED FROM SOCIETY
When obsessive compulsive disorder starts eating you, when the symptoms just don't get well and instead go worse day by day, chances are, the illness might conquer you, getting you isolated from the society you are in. remember, this anxiety disorder not only affects you, but also the people around who care for you. Do not let this happen, never let OCD rule your life and take over your life.

MAKE OCD YOUR WORST ENEMY
People who have OCD are bound to give in with their obsessions and compulsions, taking too much time of their day. You may experience needing to do repetitive rituals like hand washing and checking of doors countless times a day. Slowly OCD locks you in, taking you away from the normal things you usually do such as going to school or working at the office. This anxiety disorder can ruin your relationship with people- a strong friendship and even a happy marriage. Choose to fight OCD and make it your worst enemy. Learn to delay rituals gradually until you can completely master ignoring it. Always have the courage to win before it's too late.

TRUST PEOPLE
No soldier can win a war alone. This also applies in your battle with obsessive compulsive disorder. You need to trust people in helping you recover from OCD. While the public might become careless, do not forget that you always have your friends, family, and other relatives at your side. These people have much concern for you that they are more than willing to be with you in your struggles. Be aware that there are many support groups ready to listen with your sentiments. Freedom from OCD means letting people in, allowing them to help you ease the burden.

REDIRECT YOUR OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR TO A HEALTHIER OUTLET
Giving in to obsessions and compulsions may result to a very time consuming rituals, mostly pointless and unproductive rituals. If your anxiety is heightened by chaos, then make use of it as a motivation in keeping furniture, books, and other things in your home organized. If you have impulses on repeatedly cleaning objects, then might as well do your laundry. You can also choose to preoccupying yourself in a much more satisfying physical activities such as exercise to keep you stay healthy and fit.
